The Chief Administrator/Director of Board Planning and Strategy focuses on the planning and facilitation of organization-wide work, supporting the CEO to work effectively with and fulfill commitments to the stakeholders. This role is integral in Board-level facilitation and support.
Prepare and facilitate CEO, Board of Trustees and Executive Leadership Team meetings, events and initiatives as assigned, and in alignment with the Management/Board strategy accountable to ensure that meeting objectives are realistic, that preparation is timely and appropriate and that the CEO is well-prepared; ensure the CEO’s time is leveraged most effectively in meetings, etc. Support the CEO in preparation for interaction with the leadership team, external community, Board of Trustees and Board of Trustees Committees. Coordinate projects or commitments directly involving the CEO and ensure alignment among various stakeholders and recommend approaches to achieve successful alignment and support.
Facilitate forward-looking planning, coordination and completion of projects and ongoing work products to ensure timely, effective completion of all work managed by the CEO and other stakeholders.
Facilitate communication on behalf of the CEO; coordinate key messaging and, in collaboration with Marketing, determine appropriate communication format or tool for audiences. Partner with key leaders, including the Executive Leadership Team and Marketing Director, in support of the CEO communications strategies, tactics and messaging.
Accountable to the CEO and acts as a partner to the Executive Leadership Team and is responsible for prioritizing work and initiatives to support the strategy, organizational plans, decision-making, project leadership and driving successful outcomes. T
Proactively identify issues/concerns that could impact the successful execution of the CEO’s commitments; elevate issues about which the CEO should be aware and frame ideas to resolve the problem and/or mitigate the risk; creatively identify alternative means of handling pressing issues.
