Position Overview:
The Nurse Executive is responsible for the practice of nursing at the institution, ensuring consistency in the standard of practice across clinical settings and clinical integration. As a key member of the executive management team, this role supports and facilitates an interdisciplinary approach to the delivery of care, creating a nursing environment where collaboration is valued and excellence in clinical care is achieved.
The position provides strategic leadership in planning, directing, and coordinating the institution-wide integration and deployment of key clinical service lines and population health. It involves working with service line sponsors and collaborating with physician leaders, executives, and departmental management. The role includes leadership for system-wide clinical, financial, and business development for each service line, with operational responsibility for budget preparation and resource management oversight.
The Nurse Executive partners with institution-wide leaders for business development related to physician integration and collaborates on overall service line support needs. This role works closely with leadership, physicians, departments, and business units to implement and promote the population health program. It involves planning, organizing, and directing clinical transformation to assess and continually improve patient care delivery, clinical quality, and efficiency, while overseeing the effective integration of people, processes, and technology to achieve clinical transformation across various departments and fields of expertise.
