The Corporate Chief Nursing Officer provides administrative, operational, and clinical support to Post-Acute Care service line, which consists of long-term care/skilled nursing facilities throughout New York City. The Corporate CNO acts as a change agent, leader and role model for the post-acute care service line staff. Provides guidance and develops action plans to address patient care issues. The Corporate CNO must be a skilled leader able to demonstrate cultural competence in a diverse environment. Position has a dual report to Executive Director for Post-Acute Care and the System CNE. Nursing Directors from each of the Post-Acute Care facilities report into this role along with the Chief of Nursing Education, Deputy Chief and Admissions Director. We are seeking someone with strong leadership and project management experience, implementing systems and practices and comfortable overseeing multi-sites. This is an exciting time as they recently centralized admissions, implemented a new EMR and are looking to centralize discharge. A big portion of the role will be continuing to implement a best practice approach to COVID response.
Highly-visible Executive role: Participates as a key member of the post-acute system's Executive Leadership Team to develop and maintain a strategic plan for the controlled growth, expansion, and/or development of programs and sites for post-acute and long term care services the health system. Works collaboratively with all members of the interdisciplinary team to ensure overall coordination of patient flow and services delivered to post-acute facility residents; Emergency and Inpatient Hospital Care, Home Care, Skilled Nursing facility, LTACH, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Palliative Care, Hospice Care, etc.
