Our client is a leading non-profit leading community based hospital located in the Westchester County area that has been providing superior care in the region. They have recently affiliated with a large healthcare system based in the metropolitan NY. The hospital's mission is to provide competent, innovative and accessible emergency and acute care services to the residents of Rockland County and surrounding areas. The program is very highly regarded within the healthcare community and the hospital has a long standing reputation. A partner with Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, it provides clinical rotations to third-year medical students.

The Director of Perioperative Services is responsible and accountable for coordinating and supervising the nursing care provided to patients having operative or other invasive procedures. Provides clinical and administrative leadership. Responsibilities include accountability for the leadership and long- term planning of the patient care area. This includes implementation of the nursing process, staff development and enhancement of the quality of patient care specific to the age/development of the patient population and cost containment. The director provides leadership, motivation and clinical expertise in the management and coordination of a specific Nursing unit(s) to provide quality patient care. Position reports to the Vice President of Surgical Services.
